ASCE Hosts "Meet Your Professors" Night

Recently, ASCE hosted a 'Meet the Professors' evening via Zoom. Many of the Civil Engineering Professors attended as well as ASCE members. Each professor presented an overview of their research and career goals at the event. Newer students were introduced to the faculty that they will take classes with later and also learned more about their academic studies at Stony Brook. One of the goals for the program was to connect newer students to professors professors to help them develop a rapport with the  department and learn more about the civil engineering field. Naturally, juniors and seniors were able to reconnect with the faculty they already know and were introduced to new faculty.

The meeting culminated in an open discussion and everyone shared their ideas for the future and the direction of civil engineering at Stony Brook.
